School Not Canceled at -14 degrees..?

So Wednesday morning it was -14 degrees, the absolute coldest it has gotten all winter long. No delay, cancelation, or hope of surviving the cold that day. Fortunately, It was delayed thursday morning because it was below -10 again but, are we really putting our students in danger becaused we are too far behind to cancel school? Shouldn't we be more concerned about our student's well being than missing school days? Our new super intendent should be more concerned about our health than going to school for 180 days. Teachers need to make their schedules less complex and not as spread out if they really feel missing a week of school will set them that far behind. We rarely ever finish every chapter in the entire book anyhow. We never get let out of school during may anyhow so going into June doesn't matter to me anymore.
