Responding to the 3 essays...
I wasn't really impressed by any of the essays because all three had barely any comparisons. In peer review I read an essay about a track meet and that should be in the list of well-written essays. That person not only had descriptive details but also comparisons that did not just flat out tell me word- for-word what happened at the track meet. By using the type of comparisons and descriptions that person used, it leaves your imagination to develop what's going on in the story, not just words literally telling you step by step what happened. But, if I had to pick Faja would have been the best essay because it did not flat out tell you what was happening. It left certain questions unanswered, which I liked.
